Plainsman Museum
Established in 1976, The Plainsman Museum in Aurora, NE is the site of the Hamilton County Historical Society. Bringing the past into the present, The Plainsman Museum is an actively growing space for preserving the history of the Cornhusker State of Nebraska. The Museum has grown so exponentially throughout its own personal history, that it has relocated buildings several times. Fine Art Photographer Rob Stephenson’s research indicates that Plainsman Museum was first housed in the Hamilton County Courthouse, before moving to the T. E. Williams Residence / Otto House before the collection once again exceeded the allotted space.
