Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD)
In 2017, Rob Stephenson completed a Master of Arts (MA) at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). Hailed as the University for Creative Careers, SCAD is one of the most prestigious academic institutions for artists and designers not only in the United States, but the global art community. Stephenson refined his Fine Art Photography with the completion of his MA at SCAD. An artist who is true to his soul, Stephenson is a creative individual who believes that creativity cannot be taught. However, it can be fostered, encouraged and focused, with assistance of structured learning. Stephenson’s time at SCAD helped him tap into a new level of creativity with his Fine Art Photography. He looks back on the experience as truly formative. As someone who subscribes to the idea that there is always something new to learn (including artistic techniques), Stephenson feels enriched as an Artist and Photographer thanks to SCAD.
Grey Box Art Gallery
Rob Stephenson is a Co-Founder of Grey Box Art Gallery. An independent art gallery based in a backyard garage in Ann Arbor, Grey Box Art Gallery is a workspace/art studio, music venue and gallery for art exhibitions. Stephenson played an instrumental role in establishing the location. The Artist and Fine Art Photographer has hosted various exhibitions at the location, showcasing his own photography projects. A space that values creation over curation, Grey Box Art Gallery is all about embracing expression in its many forms — for all artists to enjoy! The location has been used as a live music venue and a space where musicians can collaborate and create. A musician at heart, Stephenson embraces the location as a space where he can express himself not only visually, but through sound as well.
